Seminar: September 13, 2018

Our third seminar in the 2018 series will be held in Westchester County (venue to follow).  This series focuses on education around the opioid addiction crisis.  CME and other professional credits will be available.  There will be speakers from the medical community, local government, and treatment professionals.  In addition, there will be NARCAN training and those who participate can be certified and receive a single use of NARCAN.  Check back soon for the agenda and information about signups.

5K Run/Walk: September 14, 2019

5K Run/Walk: September 23, 2018

Join us for a 5K run/walk at Rockland Lake State Park.  We are partnering with Rockland Council on Alcohol and Other Drug Dependencies (RCADD) for this event.  There will be a children’s fun run starting at 7:30AM followed by the 5K run/walk starting at 8AM.  Parking is free.  This race will be timed and there will be awards for the top finishers. The Masters School: October 23, 2018

On Tuesday October 23, KGMF will be attending The Masters School for a school-wide assembly to the Upper School students, where Stephen Hill will be speaking. The school’s community service organization, MISH (Masters Interested in Serving and Helping), has invited KGMF to be the sponsored “Jeans Day” organization. This means community members can donate $1 to wear jeans for the two Fridays following the presentation, and all donations will be made to our foundation. We look forward to being a part of the day!

Adolescent Substance Use and Mental Health Conference: December 11, 2018

On Tuesday, December 11, 2018, Student Assistance Services (SAS) is holding an informative, all-day event to address adolescent substance use and mental health around the holidays. The event will take place from 8:15am to 3:15pm at Doral Arrowwood Hotel Conference Center, 975 Anderson Hill Road, Rye Brook, NY and will cost $95.

This event is approved for 6 CEU hours provided by NYSED, the Office of the State Board of Social Work for LCSWs/LMSWs; 6 CEU hours by NYSED Board of Mental Health Practitioners for LMHCs; 6 CEU hours by NYS OASAS for CASAC/CPP/CPS re-credentialing and CPP/CPS credentialing hours.

Addiction A Family Disease: March 23, 2020

On Monday March 23, 2020, the Suffern Central School District will host a special event, Addiction A Family Disease, at Suffern Middle School for community members.  Doors will open at 6:30 PM and feature two speakers, Ken Goldberg and Stephen Hill. The event is free and all are welcome, so we hope to see you there.
